DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Sterling is a small rural school of 206 students, located 35 miles southeast of Lincoln. We have a long history of success in academics as well as activities. Our school system currently employs 22.5 full-time staff members and 5.5 paraprofessionals. Our small size enables students to receive enhanced individual instruction. The scores for 2015 NeSA Math showed that Sterling elementary students in the grades 3-4-5 were the top school out of the 249 school districts in Nebraska!
