JCC Elementary-Cook Site is a PK and 4-5 elementary. The JCC-Cook Site serves a diverse population of students in the Johnson County area from the communities of Tecumseh, Cook, Elk Creek, Talmage, Lorton, Vesta, and Burr. Johnson County Central Elementary is committed to the success of its students through the use of best teaching practices, strong core curricular programs and multiple student resources. The Johnson County Central - Cook Site is staffed by 5 core teachers, 3 resource teachers, 2 special education teachers, 2 enrichment teachers, 3 para-educators, 1 office manager, 1 counselor, 2 principals and 1 superintendent, as well as food service, maintenance and custodial personnel. Johnson County Central Schools also contracts for on-site services in occupational therapy, physical therapy and speech/language. All staff members participate in professional development as part of ongoing efforts to grow as educators and improve the educational experience for all students.
