DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Prairie View is the new PK-8 school completed during the 2014-2015 school year, previously housing grades 3-5. The building has approximately 560 students in grades PK-8. All instructional classrooms are designed and equipped with new interactive electronic boards which makes technology more accessible for staff and students. Teachers are using more technological tools to help enhance student learning. Reading Mastery has been utilized in the lower elementary grades for one year and will be expanded to additional grades during the 2015-2016 school year. New courses in Agricultural Education will be added to the middle school curriculum in the fall of 2015. Local, State and Federal Grants have been secured to help with an outdoor education area, new playground equipment to help upper body strength and additional technology equipment to help strengthen technology skills in students. A 21st Century Grant was secured to help fund a successful After School Program.
