DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
At Mickle Middle School, grade level teams provide instruction in language arts, math, science, and social studies. A guidance counselor is also assigned to each grade and "loops" with the students all three years. Academic Connection (ACES) courses include art, business, computer, family/consumer science, industrial technology, music, speech/drama, and both French and Spanish. Health and physical education classes are also a required component of our middle school day. Students who need remedial support are provided an IEP manager and may receive instruction in a co-taught classroom. We also offer an Intervention Room environment for any student who needs assistance with organization, extra time for assignment completion and behavioral problem solving. Mickle has a rich history of tradition in Northeast Lincoln, many "Missiles" head to High School to be "Rockets". Our staff includes many teachers who have devoted their career to Mickle and many beginning their teaching journey.
