DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
At Mickle Middle School, teams of teachers provide instruction in language arts, math, science, and social studies. A guidance counselor is also assigned to each grade and "loops" with the students all three years. Academic Connection courses include art, business, computer, family/consumer science, skilled and technical science, music, speech/drama, French and Spanish. Health and physical education classes are also a required component of our school day. Students who need additional support are provided an IEP manager. They may receive instruction in a co-taught classroom. We also offer an Intervention Room environment for any students who need assistance with organization, extra time for assignment completion and behavioral problem solving. Mickle has a rich history of tradition in Northeast Lincoln, many "Missiles" head to High School to be "Rockets". Our staff includes many teachers who have multiple years of teaching experience and many beginning their teaching journey.
