DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

At Mickle Middle School, teams of teachers provide instruction in language arts, math, science, and social studies. Academic Connection courses include art, business, computer science, family/consumer science, skilled and technical science, music, drama, French and Spanish. Health and physical education classes are also a required component of our school day. Mickle's staff consists of a balance of veteran educators alongside those who are just beginning their teaching career. Additionally, a school counselor is assigned to each grade level and "loops" with the students all three years. Students who need additional academic support may be provided an individualized education plan. Mickle also offer an Intervention Room environment for any students who need assistance with organization, extra time for assignment completion and behavioral problem solving. Mickle has a rich history of tradition in Northeast Lincoln, with many "Missiles" heading to high school to become "Rockets".
