DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Opened in 1963 and named after the family of Judge Stephen Bosworth Pound, Pound Middle School has a long-standing tradition of high student achievement. Pound serves the southeast area of Lincoln and is primarily fed students from Calvert, Humann, Rousseau, and Zeman elementary schools. It is our aim to provide the best possible middle level education program for all students. We are pleased to have students of all abilities in our school and support multicultural education while maintaining high academic and behavioral standards. We put students and their learning at the forefront of all that we do. In addition to our academic programs we offer an array of sports and club activities outside the school day. E1B!
