DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Meadow Lane Elementary School currently serves 549 students. Our outstanding school was named for the neighborhood in which it is located. Classes started in 1955 in 10 houses bought by Lincoln Public Schools and sold once the school was finished in 1957. Within our community, we begin the learning experience at age 3 in our four preschool classrooms through fifth grade. We embrace diversity in a language rich environment as we serve the ELL population for Meadow Lane, Riley and Brownell. Meadow Lane is also a job training site for Independence Academy through LPS. Meadow Lane has a strong tradition of parental support, hard working teachers, and students who learn. We are Mustangs and wear our blue and gold with pride!
