DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
West Lincoln Elementary School is a Title I school-wide program serving students Kindergarten through 5th grade. The school is located in northwest Lincoln in a neighborhood bounded by the Lincoln Municipal Airport, Interstate 80, I-180 and Cornhusker Highway. Mobility of students is around 26%. West Lincoln is approximately 75% minority and 82% of students qualify for free/reduced meal services. The school began a program for English Language Learners in 2003-04 and in 2018-19 , WL served over 180 students. The West Lincoln Community Learning Center provides before and after school programs for children and adults. West Lincoln has a Family Literacy program serving 14 parents daily. The mission of the school is to create a learning environment where school, family and community work collaboratively to ensure that all students have the skills to succeed in an ever-changing world.
