DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Kahoa Elementary School is a neighborhood school (K-5) located in the northeast area of Lincoln, NE. The school population is approximately 595 students. High academic and behavior expectations for all children contribute to high achievement scores. A devoted, enthusiastic, and talented staff provides quality instruction in a safe and caring environment. Specialized areas/programs or instruction specialists on staff include: reading recovery; literacy support; art; physical education; computer; music; library media; and gifted/differentiated curriculum. Special Education services are provided for students in grades K-5. We encourage families in the community to visit our school and volunteer to help. The Kahoa PTO is active and supports education by funding programs for students. Kahoa's mission is “Fostering Academic Excellence and Wellness for all Students in a Safe and Caring Environment."
