DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Ruth Hill Elementary School was built in 1976 and renovated as recently as the 2009-2010 school year. For 40 years, Hill School has offered an outstanding educational program. The student population is approximately 600 students (pre-school through fifth grade), all of them receiving the personal attention and quality instruction that create an ideal learning environment. Hill School takes pride in the fact that the school is strongly supported by parents and community partnerships that work collaboratively to further enhance and support the opportunities afforded to Hill Elementary School students. Professional learning communities allow teachers time to study, reflect and plan for student success. Our mission at Ruth Hill Elementary is evident: "to promote success for all students in a community that encourages life-long learning". Ruth Hill was recognized as the LPS - Inspire School for the 2014-2015 school year!
