DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Cavett Elementary, located in southeast Lincoln, opened in 1995. The school is named after educators Dorcas and Alva Cavett. In 2020-21, Cavett's PreK-5th grade population totaled 605 students. The average 2020-21 K-5th grade class size was 22-23. Our preschool served 40 students. A core value of the Cavett staff is collaboration. Our amazing staff works together to provide a safe, caring, positive and engaging learning environment for ALL students. Cavett offers multi-tiered level of supports for all students. Cavett Elementary has strong parent involvement and an active and supportive PTO. Enriching after school clubs are offered quarterly for K-5 students.
