DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Science Focus Program (SFP) is a science-based education program where a unique community of learners is transformed through critical thinking and interaction with the world. SFP offers courses in five subject areas, including AP and differentiated courses. SFP’s curriculum utilizes thematic units, interdisciplinary study, authentic application of learning, community partnerships, direct instruction, and personal choice. The 10,000 sq. ft. facility located inside the Lincoln Children’s Zoo includes two science teachers that allow a wide range of science classes. The schedule and small size of the program are conducive to experiencing and interacting with community partners first-hand, and participating in projects as a school community.
