DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Lincoln Southwest High School opened in the fall of 2002. Southwest currently serves approximately 2200 students, grades 9-12 and is one of two Lincoln High Schools to operate on a 4x4 block schedule. Located on 74 acres adjacent to Wilderness Park, Southwest High School offers students a unique opportunity to experience an outdoor classroom and interact with their environment. Southwest students take part in a variety of clubs, sports, and activities, allowing them to connect with each other and the greater Lincoln community. Southwest is committed to developing engaged citizens through active participation in community service projects. The incredible support of the Southwest parents, community, and stakeholders help to ensure the continuing future success of all Southwest students.
