DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Kloefkorn Elementary School opened in August 2012. We are proud to be named after distinguished poet, William Kloefkorn. Kloefkorn taught writing and literature for 40 years at Nebraska Wesleyan University until he retired in 2002. The Nebraska Unicameral named William Kloefkorn the Nebraska State Poet in 1982. Approximately 500 students are currently enrolled in classrooms that include early childhood, kindergarten and grades 1-5. Kloefkorn School is proud of its student achievement. Our vision for Kloefkorn is a safe, engaging and welcoming learning environment where EXCELLENCE in teaching and learning thrives.
