Norris Middle School (NMS) is AdvancedEd accredited and consists of approximately 530 students in grades 6-8. Core Classes include Reading, English, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies each grade level. Exploratory and elective classes include Band, Vocal Music, Industrial Technology, Family Consumer Science, Spanish and World Language, STEAM, Art, Digital Citizenship, Computer Applications and Keyboarding. NMS embraces a developmentally appropriate and research-based methodology to promote attainment of individual learning goals for all in an environment where each learner thrives. The middle school is committed to creating a social culture that proactively establishes a behavioral support system for students that aligns with the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support model.
