DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Adams Middle School is the attendance center for 7 th and 8 th graders in the North Platte Public School District.  Approximately 600 students in grades 7 and 8 are educated at Adams by 42 teachers, 15 support staff, 2 counselors, an associate principal, and a principal.  Instructional programs offered include: Social Studies, Literacy, Math, Algebra, Science, Physical Education, Health, Band, Orchestra, Multi-Media, Computers, General Music, Vocal Music, Art, ENGAGE, and Family and Consumer Science. Special Education and High Ability Learner programs are also offered.  In addition to these instructional programs, interscholastic and intramural sports are offered to 7th and 8th grade students. Clubs and activities include: Art club, Journalism and Yearbook, Swing Choir, Jazz Band, Assets, Reading Classic Team, Speech Club, Chess Club, and Student Council.
