DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Lincoln Elementary is one of nine elementary schools in the North Platte Public School District. Approximately 250 students attend Preschool through fifth grade with an average class size below twenty students. There are two classroom teachers per grade level and supporting teachers in the areas of special education, reading & math, library, music and physical education. Lincoln Elementary's 'Learning Aim' is "Believe, Achieve, Succeed!" Lincoln Elementary encourages parent involvement by having multiple parent involvement activities throughout the year and has strong community partnerships to support an after school program, summer programs, mentoring program, community garden and monthly virtue education. Lincoln Elementary claims to be the first established PTA in the state of Nebraska.
