DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Sutherland Public School has a 7-12 grade enrollment of 168 students. We have 18 certified staff members working with our 7-12 students. The district requires 250 hours for graduation. The requirements are as follow: English: 40 hours Social Studies: 40 hours Mathematics: 30 hours Science: 30 hours Physical Ed: 10 hours Practical Arts: 20 hours Fine Arts: 10 hours Foreign Language: 10 hours Electives: 70 hours The district also offers a broad range of electives in vocational fields, fine arts and media. Sutherland Public High School is a 1-to-1 district. All students in grades 7-12 are issued computers for use during the school year. The entire staff is directly involved in the development of curriculum. The curriculum is aligned to the State Standards and realigned on a scheduled basis for standard revisions.
