DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Norfolk Junior High serves students in grades 7 and 8. The curriculum includes business education, careers, challenge (gifted), computer/technology, English as a Second Language, family/consumer sciences, foreign languages/cultures, health, industrial technology, language arts (including listening, reading, writing, speaking), mathematics, multicultural education, music (vocal/instrumental), physical education, science, STEM, social studies, special education, and visual arts. Additional programs include drug/alcohol awareness, guidance services, hot lunches, library skills, self esteem programs, etc. A wide variety of extracurricular activities are also available for students including sports, music, clubs, etc.
