DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
The mission of the Battle Creek Public School is to provide our students the opportunity to master the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the social/emotional behaviors and attitudes necessary for them to become productive and respectful citizens who can successfully meet the challenges of a changing society. The Jr.-Sr. High School [constructed in 2004] boasts of excellent state-of-the-art facilities, and recently added an adjoining multi-purpose building (built in 2015) for student/athletes’ practice activities. BCPS is a Class C NSAA Classification, is AdvancED Accredited, has 230 students and a full time principal. Signs of excellence at Battle Creek Schools include a curriculum/assessment/technology director, a full time counselor, 1:1 initiative for grades 6-12, five computer labs, computers in every room, a distance learning facility, Student Assistance Team, and a trained Crisis Response Team.
