DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
The mission of the Battle Creek Public School is to provide our students the opportunity to master the skills, acquire the knowledge, and develop the social/emotional behaviors and attitudes necessary for them to become productive and respectful citizens who can successfully meet the challenges of a changing society. BC Elementary (PreK-6) is AdvancED Accredited, has 198 students and a full time principal. Signs of excellence at BCES include a curriculum/assessment/technology director, half time counselor, Reading Recovery, 1:1 initiative for grade 6, a computer lab, computers in every room, 113 IPADs, Student Assistance Team, and a trained Crisis Response Team.
