DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The Central City Elementary School is organized into grades PK - 4. The Tiny Bison Preschool, an on-site preschool collaboration with community agencies, provides early childhood services to 3 and 4 year old children. Our staff and students continue to focus on our school improvement goals in the area of Reading. Our small class size helps our students achieve their academic goals. Central City Elementary School uses many resources, such as highly trained certificated staff, paraeducators and parent volunteers, and tools, such as a computer lab and well-maintained library, to assist our students in their learning. Students from the elementary school partner with students from the high school to provide big brother, big sister opportunities for our elementary students. Central City Elementary uses researched-based best practices, L to J and Reading Counts to support our District goal.
