DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Palmer Junior-Senior High School is a class D (NSAA) school located 25 miles Northeast of Grand Island, Nebraska with a 2015-16 enrollment in grades 7-12 of 126 students. Parents like to send their children to Palmer as we have a very progressive school in terms of teachers, technology and community support. In fact, thirty-eight percent of Palmer's students are "option-in" students, an indication of the school's success. Our emphasis is in the areas of essential academia (math, science, social studies, language arts) but we also offer a wide range of Career and Technical Education classes. Every Palmer Jr/Sr High student utilizes a laptop computer, and a wide variety of course opportunities to earn college credits. Distance Learning facilities allow teachers to send Spanish to a number of other area schools while also importing Art and Family Consumer Science.
