DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Bayard Public Schools is located in the scenic Panhandle of Western Nebraska. Our community is the home of the famous landmark along the Oregon Trail, Chimney Rock. This famous landmark rises in front of the Wildcat Hills stretching above the North Platte River Valley. This landmark is the symbol of our state and is featured on the Nebraska quarter. The mission of our school district is to partner with parents to provide a successful educational experience and diverse opportunities for our students. Our school recently completed a strategic planning process that serves as a road map to ongoing success. The four core areas of focus in our district include academics, leadership, engagement, and community. Bayard Public School takes pride in our facilities. With multiple gyms and one of the nicest in the state, we also have an excellent track, beautiful auditorium, and FFA Greenhouse. The school offers many opportunities for students.
