DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


The Superior Public School District, 65-0011, is comprised of two buildings. Superior Elementary is a K-6 facility and the Jr./Sr. High School a 7-12 facility. All buildings, K-12 are now all in one location. The total student count is 442 students. There are 3 administrative personnel, 38 teachers, and 33 support staff. Assessment instruments used by the Superior School District include the following: • Norm-referenced Assessment Northwest Evaluation Association (NWEA) - Measures of Academic Progress(MAP) tests are used for the district's norm-referenced testing requirements. Students in grades 3-9 and 11 are tested twice each year. • NeSA State Testing Students in grades 3-8 and 11 are administered the NeSA state tests each year in the areas of Reading, Math and Science. • DIBELS (Dynamic Indicators of Basic Early Literacy Skills)Students in grades K-6 are administered the DIBELS tests three times a year.
