Lawrence/Nelson Secondary School is part of South Central Nebraska Unified School District #5. It is a Class D-2 school located in Nelson and includes the communities of Lawrence, Nelson, Oak, Angus, and Nora. L-N students have the option to participate in the 10.5 million dollar addition at Sandy Creek that is called the NCAPS building. (Nebraska Center for Advanced Professional Studies) NCAPS is an example of how business, community, and public education can partner to produce personalized learning experiences that educate the workforce of tomorrow. NCAPS students use industry standard tools to solve real world problems. Students are mentored in a professional culture with actual industry experts during their 11th and 12th grade years. Students also have the benefit of 1:1 computers for their learning.
