DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Lawrence/Nelson Elementary School is part of South Central Nebraska Unified School District #5. It is a Class D-2 school located in Nelson and includes the communities of Lawrence, Nelson, Oak, Angus, and Nora. Lawrence-Nelson is a PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention School); training our teachers to positively reinforce students for following educational expectations. Our MTSS Multi-Tiered Systems of Support team assures that all students are taught at their instructional level. SCU #5 also provides an ACHIEVE program to support students who need additional instruction to close the learning gap with their peers or provide intense interventions.
