DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Clay County Learning Center is located at Sandy Creek School Site. Students attend either half day or full day Monday through Thursday. Our preschool program follows a predictable sequence of events known as the daily routine. This provides a structure, which allows children to make choices and follow their interests through active involvement. Scholastic Big Day for Pre K provides the curriculum, where each day is organized around three Big Experiences—Whole-Group, Circle Time, and Story Time lessons—that provide an anchor for conversation, play, and learning. Carefully selected activities ground the entire class in a common Big Experience & are taken from the Big D classroom. Integrated learning opportunities introduce children to new vocabulary, concepts and skills, Verified preschool-age students are provided with development delay, speech language, occupational and physical therapy as determined. Services are also provided for children 0 to 3 years old with developmental delays.
