DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Nebraska City Middle School consists of teams of teachers in Grades 6, 7, 8, and the Exploratory Subjects (Music, Art, Family and Consumer Science, Industrial Technology, Health and Physical Education). Approximately 300 students are served by a curriculum delivery system that offers learning experiences for ALL students that include Special Education Services, English Language Learners and students identified as High Ability Learners. All students have their own computer device to receive instruction and to communicate learning. In addition, students are encouraged to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities in addition to character building activities. A before and after school program is offered to provide additional academic help and learning experiences for students. Teachers and staff work collectively to provide educational opportunities that reflect the District’s mission statement and beliefs.
