DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


The Pawnee City Secondary School is located in the county seat of Pawnee Co. The district has a resident population of approximately 1,650. The local economy is largely based in agriculture, with one main industry, many businesses, and a community hospital. The district employees 28 teachers, 13 special ed. & Title 1 paraeducators, and 2 administrators who serve a PK-12 student body of 285 students. The secondary school offers courses to students with content-endorsed teachers in the areas of: English-Language Arts, Math, Physical Science, Life Science, History, Government, Agriculture, Art, Business, Chorus, Instrumental Band, Health, Information Technology, Physical Education, and Spanish. Additionally, High school students can obtain college credit in Calculus and English, as well as a variety of dual-credits courses offered online through Southeast Community College.
