DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Lewiston Consolidated Schools is a Pre K-12th grade school with approximately 220 students located in the village of Lewiston. The village is located 17 miles east of Beatrice, NE on State Highway 4. The district is comprised of several small communities, rural patrons, and seven larger towns and villages. Major enterprises in the area include construction, transportation, agricultural supply, financial services, and personal service providers. The majority of the businesses are family owned and generally employ fewer than five individuals. Farming is the major source of income for our population. The Mission and Purpose of Lewiston Consolidated schools is: “to form a partnership with the community in order to prepare students to become successful members of a multicultural, global, society. Lewiston graduates will exhibit self-confidence, become life-long learners, possess problem solving skills, communicate effectively, and be able to make decisions that serve their best interest.”
