DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
For approximately fifteen years Plainview Junior-Senior High School had been utilizing a block schedule. Due to declining enrollments, the accountability factor brought about through the current assessment system, and the demand for distance learning compatibility with other schools the district transitioned to an 8-period day as the 2014-2015 school year began. That transition went relatively smoothly and course curriculums were modified to the new schedule. Plainview not only offers a solid college preparatory curriculum, but also offers students opportunities to experience career and technical training in the areas of family and consumer science, vocational agriculture, industrial technology and business.
