DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
The insertion of a 90 minute reading block and a 30 minute intervention time into the elementary schedule has been instrumental in providing students with a solid educational foundation to prepare them for junior high and high school. A small student-teacher and student-paraprofessional ratio provide ideal learning opportunities for students in mathematics, reading, language arts and science. Technology is an important part in the instructional and assessment process and our students are provided a multitude of opportunities to develop their technology skills. Extensive Title I services are provided to both identified and non-identified students (Plainview Public School has a schoolwide Title I program) as well as having strong accelerated reading and accelerated math programs.
