DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

West Park houses two sections of grades K-4 with an enrollment of approximately 250 students. The West Park Elementary School staff is a family of skilled professionals who engage in skills-based learning and standards-based instruction. Besides a strong reading (90 minutes daily), language arts (50 minutes daily) and math program (75 minutes daily), specialized services are available at West Park for English as a Second Language, Title I Reading, and Special Education. West Park houses a preschool program on site. The program offers both an a.m and p.m. session West Park has an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Parents are encouraged to become active within the school.
