DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Centennial Elementary School is a three and four-track elementary building for students in grades K-5 and preschool. The total student enrollment is approximately 455 students. Centennial implements a "walk to reading" model at each grade level so that all students receive 90 minutes of uninterrupted reading instruction. Students are also provided a 75 minute math period, and a 50 minute language arts period each day. In addition to classroom instruction in core areas, students participate in physical education, music and media-tech classes. Centennial offers a variety of special education services, Title I Reading services, and has an English as a Second Language Program. Centennial houses a preschool program on site. The program offers both an a.m and p.m. session. Centennial has an active Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Parents are encouraged to become active with the PTO.
