The Shelby-Rising City Public Schools District is a rural, Class III District, with schools located in Shelby and Rising City, Nebraska. The Shelby-Rising City High School, located in the town of Shelby, had a student population of 115 students in grades 9-12. Shelby-Rising City High School is classified as a C2 school by the Nebraska School Activities Association. The district implemented a 1:1 Laptop Initiative with HS students using MacBook Air’s during 2nd semester 2014. The Mission of Shelby-Rising City Public Schools is to provide a quality education through innovation, integrity, accountability, and service.
