DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Central Elementary comprises grades 4 and 5 with an enrollment of approximately 210 students and a certified staff of 17.25 FTE. Core courses class size averages approximately 21 students per class. Students typically score above the state and national averages on standardized testing. Fourth grade (an OT program) is self-contained and fifth grade is departmentalized. Art, music, counseling, technology and physical education is included in the curriculum as is special education and Title I. This building has low ethnic diversity and a moderately low mobility rate.
