DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Crete Public Schools serves 6 rural communities, of which Crete is the largest city, consisting of over 7,000 residents. Major employers in Crete include Farmland Foods, Crete Mills, and Doane College. The district, which maintains the highest available accreditation via AdvancEd, serves over 1,800 students from pre-K through 12th grade, and provides adult GED and English Language Learner programs. Key aspects of the district’s mission include developing respectful and productive citizens while providing support for their families and communities. The changing demographics within the community resulted in programs which now serve approximately 200 children through preschool services and over 350 students through English language classes. Students at the elementary receive support and additional instructional time to help ensure all students are success.
