Dorchester Public School is located in northern Saline County, and is a short drive from our state's capital in Lincoln. Approximately 180 students are served by a single, K-12 attendance center located in the village of Dorchester, pop. 615. During the 2017-2018, the district started a school-based preschool. Two sessions were offered daily Monday-Thursday with AM session from 8:10-11:25 AM and PM session from 12:15-3:30 PM. Preschool Goals: • Develop socially, emotionally, physically, and cognitively • Be prepared for the next learning event • Gain esteem through self-accomplishment • Gain a love for exploration and learning • Be willing to try new things • Develop problem solving skills • Develop conflict resolution skills • Be a member of the preschool community • Manage emotions and behavior
