Friend Public Schools is a North Central Association (NCA) accredited and Nebraska accredited Class 3 school district. The geographic location of the district is in southeast Nebraska including the communities of Friend and Cordova. The mission of Friend Public Schools is to provide quality educational opportunities that will serve the unique needs of all students. Friend Public Schools secondary school provides educational instruction and care to grades 7 through 12th grades. The district offers strong core classes in English, Foreign Language, Science, Social Science, and Math; with all having advanced course offerings for each subject area. The high school curricula also offers outstanding Fine Arts programs covering various music, art, and performing arts courses. The vocational classes of Agriculture, Industrial Arts, Family and Consumer Science, Computer Technology, and Career Academy round-out an exceptional academic learning environment.
