Friend Public Schools is a North Central Association (NCA) accredited and Nebraska accredited Class 3 school district. The geographic location of the district is in southeast Nebraska including the communities of Friend and Cordova. Friend Public Schools secondary school provides educational instruction and care to grades 7 through 12th grades. The district offers strong core classes in English, Foreign Language, Science, Social Science, and Math, including Dual Credit College courses in Algebra and Composition. The high school curricula also offers outstanding Fine Arts programs covering various music and art courses. The vocational classes of Agriculture, Industrial Tech, Family and Consumer Science, and SENCAP Dual Credit College courses round-out an exceptional academic learning environment.
