Friend Public Schools is a North Central Association (NCA) accredited and Nebraska accredited Class 3 school district. The geographic location of the district is in southeast Nebraska including the communities of Friend and Cordova. Friend Public Schools elementary school provides educational instruction and care to grades Preschool through 6th grades. The district offers strong core classes in Reading, Science, Social Science, and Math. The kindergarten through 6th grade reading programs spend 3 hours per day working on specific reading skills. Students are assessed daily on their reading skills and abilities, providing teachers the necessary feedback for program adjustments.
