DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

The Ashland-Greenwood Middle School includes students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades. The middle school is located at 1842 Furnas Street. Students are housed in the same building and share many of the same teachers as high school students, but the middle school has its own wing of the building for core classes and student social life. Middle school teachers have a shared interdisciplinary team planning (ITP) time. ITP is used for collaboration time to address areas related to middle school curriculum, students and activities. The school also has an academic lab time where students receive additional academic and personal guidance related to middle school life. Technology integration has been an area of focus within the district. Beginning in 16.17 AGMS is an on-site one-to-one school with each MS student having access to a Chromebook during CORE classes. The school thrives due to the active participation of parents and the dedication of its staff.
