Mead Public Schools is strongly committed to student achievement, as is evident in the current school improvement process. The District believes teacher development is vital for increasing student achievement. Staff development activities focus on increasing teachers' knowledge of instructional strategies, classroom management, and assessment. The School Improvement Leadership Team is leading an initiative in which teachers video record lessons and then reflect on instructional practices and student learning. The district also promotes communication among all stakeholders. Daily Announcements are available to students and parents. A Weekly Bulletin is available to each student on Friday. A Monthly Newsletter is mailed to all homes with a Mead address. All Mead graduates are prepared for entering post-secondary educational programs. 80+% of our graduates continue on with some form of post-secondary education.
