DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING


Gering High School is an attractive campus that offers over 200 courses that include academic and vocational choices as well as a host of specialties in the fine arts and activities. All courses focus on Nebraska standards by providing varieties of opportunities to help students show proficiencies of performance on standards. An expansive number of dual credit offerings in both academic and vocational areas, are available to Gering High School students in coordination with local post-secondary institutions’. Staff members are highly qualified and dedicated to helping all students reach their full achievement potential. On a separate campus, freshmen students attend the Gering High School Freshman Academy, where students are transitioned into the high school and the variety of experiences and options that are offered to students as they enter high school. The student body is known to be supportive of each other and proud of their reputation and traditions as Gering Bulldogs.
