Gering Middle School, in partnership with community, is committed to providing our 450+ students in grades 6-8, an educational program responsive to their individual needs and characteristics. The focus of our transition is for young adolescents to explore and enrich their educational experiences. Our goal is to help students be better equipped to understand their strengths and potential as they enter into their high school career and beyond. We strive that all students be college and/or career ready upon completion of their education and can lead a highly influential life in their community. Our exploration course offerings provide students with hands-on learning and real-world opportunities and provide a seamless transition to Career Pathways at Gering High School. The middle school is organized into academic teams at each grade level from the four core areas. Extracurricular clubs, high ability learners club, programs, and sports are available for everyone.
