DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Northfield Elementary School, located in northwest Gering, serves a diverse population of 300 students in grades K-6. A professional staff of teachers and paraprofessionals work with students to provide learning opportunities that lead to achievement. Northfield utilizes PBIS, BIST, MTSS, tutoring, Foster Grandparents, summer school and a yearly marathon. Federal grants include Title I funding. Northfield students take pride in serving their community by donating to the local food pantry, collecting for American Heart Association, contributing to Pennies for Patients, collaborating with Keep Nebraska Beautiful, recycling, planting trees, and assisting Red Cross in relief efforts. The success at our school can be directly attributed to the hard work, commitment, and collaboration between staff, students, parents, and community partners.
