DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING

Mitchell is a Class III school organized as PK-6 elementary and 7-12 secondary. Mitchell offers a comprehensive list of required and elective courses, preparing students for college or career. Courses in Industrial technology, graphic design and digital media, and health-based courses (EMT, etc) offer a range of career-focused education. Mitchell Secondary School houses grades 7-12. After reviewing assessment results in 2010, a reading specialist was hired to teach reading and remediate reading instruction in grades 7-8. All grades 7-12 are allowed access to a daily study hall as well as summer school opportunities.
