DESCRIPTION PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL BUILDING
Students attending Centennial Public Elementary are bussed from six small communities and the surrounding rural area. Students at each grade level are divided into 2 sections, with an occasional exception, where they are instructed in the core curriculum. Students receive instruction in PE, Music, and Media from specialists. Resource, Title I Reading and Math teachers provide additional academic support. A Behavioral Counselor is available to students by teacher referral or at their request. Numerous field trips at each grade level are designed to bring a “real life” dimension to students’ education. Communication with parents happens in several ways: notes, phone calls, and via e-mail (school's web site has address). Parents are encouraged to visit school at their convenience in addition to regularly scheduled Parent-Teacher Conferences.
